so here comes june, and after that is july aka boston for training. then right from boston i leave to ecuador!! how am i feeling? definitely a mix of emotions.
first off, really excited. i've loved hearing from my community-mates already by email, facebook, skype and in-person. they seem so wonderful and give me a lot of peace that we will all be there for each other this coming year. also so excited for the worksite placements, because pretty much all of them are super-cool. and then of course i know it's going to be a lot of growth and inspiration from conversations with the neighbors, experiences at work, etc. -- which i'm definitely looking forward to seeing what God has in store for me haha.
things i'm worried about? maybe missing home, family, friends. aka you people better keep in touch well!! it'll be tough to miss things, especially Search and HOBY weekends, but i know these communities and families are stronger than geographic boundaries haha, so in that sense i know i'll be okay. definitely the main culture things -- what and how much we eat, speaking Spanish, learning Ecuadorian culture are new things. But at the same time, i've done it before so i feel relieved that i've already done it once.
overall, i feel really blessed. really really blessed. and just so excited :) it's going to be a whirlwind year, but we need to all make the most of it, right? peace out, friends.
