An email I sent to my mom and grandmoms, but I hope you ALL have a super happy day!
Happy Mother´s Day! Missing you all so much and wish I was with you today. FYI on some Mother´s Day happenings here -- we´re all rather tired from being kept awake last night due to the ´´serenatas´´ -- our friend Edwin DJed this event to sing songs people paid to have dedicated to their moms. The event didn´t end until 7 AM though!! Many people are selling ´´Mother´s Day DVDs´´, a collection of songs that they say specifically should be for moms. And of course, in schools, children are making Mothers Day cards, buying roses, and putting on special shows for their moms. So fun! We volunteers have spent the past few days baking cookies and banana bread and making crafty cards for our Ecuadorian mothers and grandmothers. It´s been really fun to share in this time, esp with the families in AJS and the kids at Valdivia! Hope you all have a wonderful day, love you!!
